Every project in the studio begins the same way: a roll of tracing paper and a soft pencil.

A hand drawing is allowed to be wrong. It invites the next drawing on top of it, and the next. By the time we open the computer, the building has already been argued over a dozen times.

Clients sometimes ask for the sketches when the project is finished. We give them the whole roll.
